Gila monsters and beaded lizards are the two living species of Heloderma — slow-moving, long-lived, and unlike anything else in the collection. Every animal here is captive-bred and comes with full care history.
North America's only venomous lizard, native to the desert Southwest. Ours are raised on a strict feeding schedule and handled from a young age, so they're calm animals with keepers who know what they're doing.
